GUI, pop spear and music sample

While we are working on the music, we’ve done some significant change to the GUI also.

We re-design it because the old GUI don’t provide information in a good way: the crystal don’t play a big part in game but it is equal size as others, the fresco pieces are hard to said which of them has been collected.
And the main reason, yeah, the new one looks far better xD

Here’s the design proces: Nori ( the artist we worked together, she said she don’t like doing the GUI, but she did it perfectly…… Tsunderem, maybe? ) first drew something based on a screenshot, and try something different based on it.

We think the draft is good, and Nori turned it into detailed with deep explanation, in case they are not placed properly in the game.

We are going to keep working on the music, and the GUI Home menu design. For the GUI, Not yet made our decision, but already got something very detailed from Nori, that image should illustrate the idea ( ̄﹁ ̄)v

We got lots of comments on IndieDB from our previous gameplay post.

Thank you for so many feedbacks, that was a lot!

We have been working hard on the music since then, and we think it might be a good idea to ask you involve with us: find out the music style fits this game together!

It is easy, just a link to Youtube video, SoundCloud or anything else! And the music don’t have to be your work. You might want to also ask your friends how they think, that also helps us spread the message : )

Just before you have some music in your mind, a brief reading what we would like to present in Forward to the Sky:

Princess v4

The game is not heavy emotion nor stress, instead, we want to bring out an easy pace adventure.
Just look into the art style, things are light, even the skeleton looks silly in some way ( well, all the aspects I think, ha ha ).
So, light, adventure, joyful in a good tempo ( probably a little bit fast jumpy )

AND!
This is not something like a contest, BUT in case you guys bring some music that really fits, or if so many of you involved in this development, we are going to make you a picture “Princess enjoying music” with appreciate!

Princess, character design by CONE

CONE, the character designer, has design a cute series of character.

With all these character we should be able to build a fantastic RPG, well, maybe we’ll try that someday.

Anyway, the only character in “Forward to the Sky” is the Princess, let’s have a look!

 

The first version concept design, she was able to use her cloth to carry 2 more swords…

Huh huh, sorry about that.

The second version, white dress plus a big bow and the back skin, very cute! The design is pretty close to the final design, but the sword is much more classic.

Version 3, modified the armor a little big, and the shoes. But CONE said he love ver 2 better.

So, one more revision, finally, Princess is here!

Princess v4

Princess is the first character, and has been with us for a long time, probably more than 2 years, a memorable girl to CONE, Apupu and me. And she is going to lead us to the sky this time, she is going to do well, we believe.

There are more  charming characters designed by CONE ( 2 of them are already modeled by Apupu, on Unity Asset Store )  we’ll probably show more detail some other day.

We got our website, finally, yeah!

Hope you like the theme feeling, I like it very much, especially the Home page slide and news block looked really good.

The name, Magichnology, combining these two words magic and technology, sounds cool to me.

So, this place is about us, and our game.

For now, we’ve been working on the game, Forward to the Sky, over 3 months, and we are going make it better and get it done.

We are going to continually update the progress with videos and images, follow us if you love the game!
